Guido Mayer laid the technical foundation by studying at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, specialising in machine tools. In 1985 he began his professional career at INDEX, initially in software development before moving into sales. This combination of technical knowledge and many years of sales experience still enables him today not just to sell machines, but to assess their capabilities, areas of application and real benefit to the customer in full.
Since 2010, Guido has been working independently in the international sale of machine tools. He supports his customers personally – from choosing the right machine and agreeing the technical details through to successfully brokering and completing the sale.
His experience goes far beyond conventional machine trading. In recent years he has worked intensively on Industry 4.0 and the increasing digitalisation of industrial processes. Since 2024, modern automation solutions have been a further focus.
Guido Mayer Engineering knows the German, Swiss and Spanish markets inside out. Thanks to a long-standing collaboration with a French partner, he has also successfully sold numerous machine tools in France. This network is complemented by established partners in the United Kingdom and the USA.
